The Glory of God Collection by Keith Martin Johns
Known for many years by his romantic landscapes of Florida’s natural wilderness, Keith Martin Johns is now becoming known for his multi-figurative paintings on biblical historic narrative. By the use of theatrical arrangement and large format canvases his oil paintings open visual windows to Christianity’s historic past and spiritual present. If you asked Johns what was the greatest highlight of his 34 year career he would say, “It was the joy of being able to do what God gave me the passion to do and the ability to do it full time with my wife”. Together the couple own and operate the Art Design Center in Graceville, FL. His education includes a MFA in painting from Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA, and his undergraduate degree in biblical studies from Trinity College of Florida, New Port Richey, FL.
He has won numerous awards including: The People’s Choice Award, at the Sunday Afternoon with the Arts, Chipola College, Marianna, FL. Johns has exhibited almost exclusively in solo shows, just to mention a few: The Florida Collection, Chipola College Center for the Arts, Mariana, FL, The Florida Cracker Trail Museum of Florida Art and Culture, Sebring, FL, He also has shown his work in many group exhibitions including Backyard-Great Scenes of Florida Landscapes, Weatherburn Gallery, Naples FL, Florida Places, A.E.
